    Opal Stone (White/Golden)

Opal is sourced in the mines north of the Zimbabwean capital of Harare. It is favored by many Shona artists as it is not as hard as Springstone but it still polishes to a high shine.

A raw white/golden opal sculpture has a bright off-white appearance with a chalky finish. When waxed and polished it transforms into this rich toffee-colour with a subtle sheen.
